This is your chance to work at the heart of the Internet Industry for one of the World's largest Internet Infrastructure organisations with 362 ISP members.
This is one of the key roles, and is part of our executive management team. The role embraces sales and marketing (in the traditional senses) and also member relations/post-sales support.
We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager who will show enthusiastic support for the mutuality model and the membership community aspects and who can work well with our members, partners and suppliers. This is an ethical sales and marketing role, best suited for someone who will understand and promote the established organisation ethos.
The post holder will be based in the Peterborough office, with periodic travel requirements - including the opportunity to work from the London office.
Sales & Marketing Manager Key Responsibilities:
? Establish annual sales targets for membership growth and then ensure that they are met, with associated reporting & analysis
? Establish and maintain reseller arrangements with key suppliers
? Develop an overall strategy for marketing - including related plans for the identification of sales opportunities in targeted areas, supporting this with marketing activities etc.
? Promote our company to prospective members throughout the world.
? Ensure that our company maintains an appropriate profile in relevant public fora and publications
? Develop the members relations role
? Recruit and manage a small team to fulfil all sales, marketing & member relations tasks
? Contribute to the overall management of the company
Sales & Marketing Manager Skills & Experience
Required skills & experience:
? Capable of establishing & working to targets, and closing out sales enquiries
? Previous experience of managing a team of people, including recruitment
? Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
? Excellent spoken and written English
? Willingness to make presentations and give talks to network industry audiences
? Previous experience of developing and managing budgets
? Marketing experience, including the ability to formulate and deliver a suitable marketing strategy (including obtaining internal buy-in for such a strategy)
Highly desirable skills & experience:
? A good understanding of the Internet industry, especially service and content providers; (note: once in-post, this is expected to extend to become a detailed grasp and specialist understanding of the marketplace and member requirements - and a key aspect of the role is to convey this understanding to the rest of the company)
? Previous experience in the field of ISP network operations or something closely related
? Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
? Good IT skills, as the job is working in an intensive IT environment. Training on new areas/tools will be given as necessary - but we are looking for someone with a specific bias towards our style of working

1. You will be required to be security screened to BS7858:1996 standard, and may be required to undergo additional security screening by HM Government.
2. International travel will be required.
